This portal contains information on authorisation schemes and requirements set by numerous Lithuanian laws for services covered by the Services Directive.

The portal is the Point of Single Contact in Lithuania. The main role of the contact point is to facilitate service providers’ and service recipients’ access to the information they need to be able to carry on service operations in an EU country and also to submit documents to the authorities when applying for permits and licenses required to pursue certain activity.

According to the EU principle of mutual recognition, all products that are lawfully marketed in one EU Member State may also be sold in all the other Member States without having to be harmonized with national technical regulations. The EU has taken a decision on Regulation (EC) No. 764/2008 for application of the above-mentioned principle.

The government has, in accordance with the Regulation, appointed Enterprise Lithuania as Lithuanian Product Contact Point and this portal is the PCP website in Lithuania. Through the contact points in the EU Member States, authorities and companies can find out which technical regulations apply for a particular non-harmonized product in a particular EU country.
